The location was fantastic- a short walk or drive to so many things! Safe neighborhood. Rooms were clean and modern and the place was very well kept. When we arrived at 3 for check-in, there were four staff members cleaning and maintaining the outside of the property. You can tell these people take pride and care about running a good business.

Hotel Royal Oak provided a truly exceptional experience, shown by the owners’ remarkable hospitality and a delightful atmosphere.The owners’ generosity gave us an unexpected room upgrade, making the stay even more comfortable and welcoming. The hotel itself is charmingly quaint, nestled in the heart of Royal Oak, offering a central location for exploring the area’s restaurants and attractions.

I booked this hotel, for a concert I had that following weekend, nothing but good things to say. Check in and check out was easy, staff very friendly, safe environment, clean, and there’s local activities to do around the area. The Amtrak train station is not far off. Excellent stay for travelers, and the overall vibe was great! Will be coming back again!

We’ve stayed here several times before, so it was our first choice when we needed to visit unexpectedly. Jon and the rest of the staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Love that we can now grab a beer on the way to our room to wind down with a movie. The rooms are always bright, clean, and well-appointed, and the water pressure is great.

I love this hotel. My son lives in Royal Oak so we stay here often. The rooms are adorable. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. They send your door key to your phone which is great when arriving late. Outdoor facilities are beautiful.

An amazing space with a super cool 70’s vibe, the soul to support it, but the modern amenities anyone can appreciate. I loved it, and I’ll be back!

It was not only the coziest, cutest place but the staff there are so very kind and welcoming! Clean, comfy and quaint! We had so much fun in town and at Royal Oak that we impromptu decided to stay another unplanned night to extend our trip.

This place was great! super reasonable in price. walkable to downtown Royal Oak. everything was super clean and well kept. rooms have been updated, but it is a classic motel vibe. park directly in front of your room, which I love. front desk clerk was great. little firepit outside was a very cool touch. Free breakfast sandwich and coffee in the a.m. until 11am. would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, location is great for Royal Oak Theater and the whole downtown area. The property has tons of outdoor spaces set up for private or communal gatherings. It has a hostel with private rooms vibe. Loved it and will be returning!
